Abstract
Claude Code crossed $1B in annualized revenue in early 2026. Stripe, Deloitte, Netflix, and Goldman Sachs are among the disclosed enterprise deployments. Every engineering VP is evaluating it. But the published content on what enterprise Claude Code deployment involves is thin: press releases, Anthropic documentation focused on individual developer workflows, and occasional conference talks.
This whitepaper covers what the documentation does not: the organizational change management required to deploy agentic coding at scale, the cost model for teams of more than 100 engineers, the governance changes needed for AI-generated code in production, and the technical patterns that determine whether a deployment succeeds or quietly reverts to business as usual. Those patterns include parallel subagent delegation, repository-wide context management, and CI integration.
Tenten AI has deployed Claude Code in engineering organizations ranging from 15 to 300 engineers. The patterns here reflect what we have observed to work and what we have observed to fail.
