FDM · AI ANSWER AUDIT

How does AI describe your brand? Is it accurate?

When buyers explore a category, compare vendors or check a brand, AI answers can shape who they contact next. We start with your buyers’ questions, capture evidence, identify errors, omissions and sources, then prioritize practical fixes.

WHY IT MATTERS

Buyers may ask AI before they contact you

Buyers use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode to explore product categories, find vendors and compare options. Answers can repeat outdated information, misstate your services or list only your competitors.

They may also cite media coverage, reviews or other third-party pages you cannot edit directly. Checking your website alone will not show how these answers position your brand. Capture evidence first to understand what needs attention.

SCOPE

What we check

We agree on the prompt set, assistants, markets, languages and competitors upfront. Records include the interface, mode and available version. Anything we cannot test is noted.

Your buyers’ real questions
Build the prompt set from interviews, sales questions and approved material. Cover brand, category, comparisons and purchase stages, separating named-brand prompts from unbranded category questions.
Major AI assistants
Test ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode within the agreed scope. Record the test time, region, language and mode so results from different conditions are not treated as equivalent.
Accuracy and freshness
Check verifiable facts about your brand, services and products. Flag factual errors, outdated information and unsupported statements.
Coverage, order and share of voice
Record whether your brand appears, its order in the answer, and its mention share against named competitors within the agreed prompt set. This is a sample baseline, not market share.
Cited sources and positioning
Keep the citation URLs actually shown, distinguish owned and third-party sources, and examine the category, audience and comparison reasons used to describe your brand.
Technical readiness
Inspect crawler access, structured data and server-rendered main content. Readability is a prerequisite; it does not guarantee citation or recommendation.

STANDARD SCOPE

Standard scope and turnaround

Most brands start with the standard scope. Fixed scope means a fixed fee: you get a written quote before we begin, never hourly add-ons.

Prompt set
30 buyer questions
Brand, category and competitor-comparison questions, agreed against your buyer scenarios.
Assistants
4
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, with each question asked at least twice per assistant. Any assistant unavailable in your market is noted and left out.
Market and language
Taiwan, Traditional Chinese
Japanese, English or other markets are quoted separately and extend the timeline.
Named competitors
Up to 3
Chosen when the prompt set is signed off.
Turnaround
10 business days
Counted from sign-off on the prompt set and brand fact sheet, ending with a 60-minute readout.
Fee
Fixed
Quoted in writing once scope is confirmed. Extra prompts, languages or markets are assessed separately, with no mid-project surcharges.

DELIVERABLES

Evidence your team can act on

This paid audit follows the free visibility check and AI visibility index. It examines your brand, prompt set and named competitors in enough detail to assign fixes and plan a retest. The standard scope ships in 10 business days for a fixed fee.

An answer log with captured evidence
Keep prompts, complete answers, available screenshots or exports, citations, test conditions and timestamps.
An error list with severity
State the incorrect claim, verification evidence and impact. Separate urgent factual errors from descriptions that could be improved.
A share-of-voice baseline
Document the prompt set, sample count, denominator and missing results as a starting point for comparing brand mentions.
A source map
Map cited owned and third-party pages to the questions that reference them, with owners for updates or correction requests.
A prioritized fix plan
Separate owned-content work, structured data and third-party sources, explaining priorities, dependencies and responsible people.
A retest plan
Preserve core prompts and interpretation rules, and agree on comparable conditions, tracking and when to check again.

  1. 01

    Define the prompt set

Agree with brand, marketing and sales on buyer questions, authoritative facts, named competitors and test scope.

    Test and capture evidence

Ask under the agreed conditions, record answers and displayed sources, and preserve evidence for review.

  3. 03

    Analyze and prioritize

Verify facts, coverage and positioning. Rank errors and content gaps by impact and ability to address them.

  4. 04

FAQ

Questions about the AI answer audit

How does the paid audit differ from the free AI visibility check?

The free check examines website readability. The paid audit tests assistants with your buyers’ questions, captures evidence, verifies errors, compares named competitors and sources, then provides a fix and retest plan.

Which assistants and languages do you test?

We agree on the scope for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode based on your markets and buyer scenarios. Availability, region, language and mode affect results. Test conditions and anything unavailable are recorded.

If answers vary each time, is an audit still useful?

Yes, provided the prompt set, conditions and each observed answer are preserved. The audit studies errors, mentions and citations in a sample rather than treating one answer as a permanent ranking. Retests use comparable conditions and note version or source changes.

Can you guarantee recommendations or immediate corrections?

No. We do not control assistants or third-party sources. The audit establishes observed problems, verification evidence and priorities. Fixes need retesting; recommendations and update timing cannot be guaranteed.

How long does it take, and what determines the fee?

The standard scope is delivered 10 business days after you sign off on the prompt set and brand fact sheet. The fee is fixed and quoted in writing once scope is confirmed. Adding languages, markets, prompts or assistants changes the timeline and quote, and we start only after you approve.

Does the audit include website and content changes?

The audit delivers evidence, an issue list, recommendations and a retest plan. Owned-content edits, structured data implementation, third-party outreach and ongoing tracking need a separate agreement. We can discuss FDM when you need help executing the work.
